Legion Park

Smithville Park

Torrence Chapel Park
Amenities: Picnic shelter, two lighted baseball/softball fields, lighted tennis courts, basketball court, walking trails and restrooms. Location: 21309 Torrence Chapel Road. Free.

Blythe Landing (Lake Norman)
Amenities: 26-acre park features floating piers and boat launch, cafe, playground, picnic areas and sand volleyball courts. Location: 15901 N.C. 73, Cornelius. Free.

Jetton Park
Amenities: Lakefront park offers picnic sites, lighted tennis courts, Waterfront Hall, trails, gazebo, sunning beach (no swimming), bicycle rental, playgrounds, restrooms, concessions. Location: 19000 Jetton Road, Cornelius. Free.

Ramsey Creek Park
Amenities: Waterfront park features sunning beaches, boat launch and docks, dog park, playground, picnic shelters, nature trails, and a fishing pier. Location: 18441 Nantz Road, Cornelius. Free.

Glenn Oak Green Park
Amenities: Four-acre park in Oakhurst subdivision opened in 2006 with a play unit for 2- to 5-year-olds, a "climbing rock," swings, gazebo, multipurpose field, asphalt trail and benches. Location: 18905 Coachman's Trace. Free.

Davidson

Ada Jenkins Community Center

River Run Fields

Roosevelt Wilson Park

South Lawn Park

The Preserve Dog Park

Abernathy Park

Hambright Soccer Fields
Amenities: Three soccer/multipurpose fields. Location: Hambright Road, behind Blythe Elementary School. Fees: $10 an hour, residents; $300 per day for use of three fields or $75 per day, tournaments; $20 per hour, two-hour minimum, nonresidents or any other use; $5 an hour for lights, residents, $10 an hour, nonresidents.

North Mecklenburg Park

Belllingham Park
Amenities: Two open fields, playground, a picnic shelter, outdoor volleyball and horseshoe pits. A second phase of construction will add two T-ball fields, two tennis courts, more trails and walkways and expanded playground. Location: 1600 Bellingham Dr., Mooresville. Fees: Shelters free unless reservations are made, $5 hr.

Edgemoore Park
Amenities: Two picnic shelters, four tennis courts, a T-ball field and playground equipment. Location: Ridgecrest Drive, Mooresville. Fees: Shelters are free unless reservations are made, which are $5 an hour. T-ball fields are free unless the team is not Mooresville Recreation sponsored. Then the fees are $10 an hour regularly and $15 to use the lights.

Liberty park
Amenities: Baseball field, two outdoor basketball courts, playground and a picnic shelter. Location: Off Iredell Avenue, Mooresville. Fees: Shelters are free unless reservations are made, which are $5 an hour. T-ball fields are free unless the team is not Mooresville Recreation sponsored. North Main Street Park
Amenities: Three youth baseball/softball fields, a picnic shelter and a walking trail. Location: 1474 N Main St., Mooresville. Fees: Shelters are free unless reservations are made, which are $5 an hour. T-ball fields are free unless the team is not Mooresville Recreation sponsored. Then the fees are $10 an hour regularly and $15 to use the lights.

Stumpy Creek Park
Amenities: Playground , walking track, picnic shelters, soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, nine-hole disc golf course, boat landing (no swimming, fishing, picnicking or sunbathing). Location: 160 Stumpy Creek Road, Mooresville. Fees: $2 daily launch fee for boat launch, season passes available by calling 704-878-3103. Lake Norman State park
Amenities: Walking trails, mountain bike trails, picnic areas, swimming beach from April 1-Oct. 31, boat access, boat rental, fishing, campgrounds and a community building. Location: 159 Inland Sea Lane (off State Park Road), Troutman. Hours: 8 a.m.-9 p.m. June-August; 8 a.m.-6 p.m. November-February; 8 a.m.-7 p.m. March and October; 8 a.m.-8 p.m. April, May, September, swim beach open 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; canoe and pedal boat rental 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. in the summer. Fees: Family campsites, $15 a day, $10 for seniors; group campsites $1 per person with $9 minimum per day; picnic shelter reservations, $85 a day but free if no one reserves them; canoes rentals, $5 the first hour and $3 each additional hour; pedal boat rentals, $5 the first hour and $3 each additional hour; swim site is free unless a lifeguard is present, which makes use $4 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-12.
